simple pleasures

Sometimes when I grow weary of the world, I like to think of some simple things that make me realize how the little good things in life contribute to the many reasons why I am a lucky and blessed girl.


Right now, I'm loving..


Fresh mint in my sparkling water..it makes me feel classy and tastes delicious! Did you know that Greek mythology said that mint leaves represents hospitality? My next dinner party is definitely having sparkling mint water on the menu!


Getting cherry blossoms from the farmer's market with my mama. It reminds me of Japan and Washington D.C...two places I'm dying to visit!

Aveeno's new nourishing fig and shea butter body wash..As many of you know..I am obsessed with all things fig (the fruit--dried and fresh, I even painted a fig painting once!). This body wash smells amazing and feels great! Yum!

Talking to good friends about exciting upcoming adventures and getting a contagious feeling of giddiness! (Realized I have a tendency to do this after chatting with my lovely amazing friend Amanda about upcoming adventures in one of our old haunts-Paris!)

Happy Earth Day! It's the 40th anniversary of this lovely holiday and I encourage everyone to go out and enjoy our beautiful earth! We often take it for granted in so many ways..so go out there in the spring sunshine and encourage environmental reform. We only have one earth...give it some love!

big brother

Happy 24th Birthday Andy!! Even though you drive me crazy sometimes I'm so lucky to have you as a brother! I was often referred to "Andy's Little Sister" growing up because of our closeness in age and in general. We have always been each others allies (maybe one exception when I told on you to make myself look better..oops!) and we even had a Spanish class together once! Thanks for being the funny, smart and athletic brother who I love (even though you and Chub beat me up)! I feel blessed that we are close and that you and chub are my wolfpack! I love you!

you ain't seen nothing yet

Ooh baby. So as I'm sure you have noticed I am back in the City of Angels and have decided to keep blogging for inspiration and what not so feel free to stop by if you have time! Living in Los Angeles again has made me think a lot about things I love/hate about this city. I am looking forward to exploring the city through a fresh perspective again (being able to experience nightlife for one!) and meeting new people. Amidst job searching and interning (in a contemporary art gallery in Hollywood), I plan to hike, explore, shop, and eat my way around LA.
